Borres a Berducedo por Los Hospitales

Trail description

The Ruta de los Hospitales variant of the Camino Primitivo, the oldest line of the Way in this section, climbs from Borres onto the uninhabited Sierra de Fanfaraón, largely above 1100 m, past the scant remains of the medieval pilgrim hospitals that give it its name, to the Puerto del Palo, then descends via Montefurado to Berducedo. It avoids the descent to Pola de Allande but is exposed: the route is considered dangerous in winter or bad weather.
