Trail description
A long 10.1 km climb of about 1,340 m from Capileira up the Barranco de Poqueira in the Alpujarra, from about 1,420 m to 2,630 m in the Sierra Nevada. Much of Capileira's territory lies in the Sierra Nevada National Park and reaches the summits of Veleta and Mulhacen, the highest point of the Iberian Peninsula. The whole municipality is part of the historic ensemble of the Barranco de Poqueira.
