Tugela Falls via the Chain Ladders

Trail description

From the Sentinel car park at Witsieshoek a path contours below the Sentinel and climbs two steel chain ladders onto the Amphitheatre escarpment, then crosses the plateau to the top of Tugela Falls, where the river drops nearly 1,000 m in five leaps. The ladders are exposed and the plateau at 3,000 m is cold, misty and prone to lightning in summer. A conservation fee is paid at the car park.
