Trail description
A 4.4 km loop with about 70 m of climbing on the trails of the Modderfontein Reserve, on the edge of Edenvale north-east of Johannesburg. The 275 ha private reserve, the second largest private park in Gauteng, takes in part of the Modderfontein Spruit, a string of dams, grassland and hills. The Endangered Wildlife Trust manages it, and it is home to steenbok, reedbuck, duiker, black-backed jackal, Cape clawless otter and more than 250 bird species.
