Trail description

A rewarding walk up to the 2,064 m summit of Volovec on the Polish border, reached from Zverovka through the Roháčska dolina and over the grassy saddle of Rákoň. A car-free road leads up the valley, then a mountain path climbs to the ridge and the top, about 8.5 km with 1,030 m of climbing. Volovec anchors the famous Roháče skyline yet needs no chains or scrambling; the upper paths are open from June to October.
