Veľký Choč z Jasenovej

Trail description

From Jasenová the path named after the writer Martin Kukučín climbs past Zábralie and Drapáč to Veľký Choč (1,611 m), a lone limestone summit between Orava and Liptov with wide views. It is 6.5 km and about 1,050 m of climbing one way. A short stretch below the summit has fixed ropes. Brown bears live in these mountains: make some noise in the forest and keep food packed away.
