A 6 km climb of about 910 m from Tatranská Lomnica past the Štart cable car station and through dwarf pine to Skalnaté pleso (1,751 m), a glacial lake below Lomnický štít. The Skalnatá chata hut and the observatory stand by the lake, and the cable car can take you back down.
