Trail description

A walk up to the ruins of Čachtice castle, notorious as the seat of the countess Elizabeth Báthory. The trail climbs through vineyards and forest to the hilltop fortress, about 2.1 km with 180 m of climbing, with wide views over the Váh valley. The atmospheric ruins are among the best known in Slovakia.
