Trail description

A steep climb from Cabana Bârcaciu above the village of Avrig to Lacul Avrig, a glacial lake in a cirque on the northern side of the Făgăraș. The path leaves the forest for dwarf pine and alpine meadow below the main ridge. Water and shelter are only at the hut.
