Trail description
A 9.4 km climb from the Mamode Camp car park above Saint-Denis to the summit of La Roche Écrite (2276 m), which looks down on the cirque of Mafate to the south-west and the cirque of Salazie to the south-east. The lower part of the trail follows the GR R2 up to the gîte de la Roche Écrite, and the summit can only be reached on foot.
