Torre Serra da Estrela

Trail description

A 4.9 km climb of about 425 m past the Covão do Meio reservoir and the Serrano and Quelhas lagoons to Torre, the highest point of mainland Portugal at 1,993 m. Torre is not a distinct summit but the top of the Torre plateau in the central massif of the Serra da Estrela. A paved road, the R339, also reaches it.
