Trail description

The PR17 from the Encumeada pass follows the Levada do Norte and climbs through the Folhadal, a misty laurel forest in the heart of Madeira, to the rock tower of the Pináculo. The path has tunnels, steps and exposed sections, and the weather in the mountains changes fast.
