Trail description
A 6.5 km walk down the Levada dos Cedros from Fanal toward Ribeira da Janela, losing about 430 m. The levada, one of the oldest on Madeira, was built in the 17th century and starts at about 1,000 m at Lombo do Cedro. It runs through original laurel forest, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Laurisilva of Madeira.
