Trail description
A 2.6 km walk beside the EN 339 at the Lagoa Comprida in the Serra da Estrela, climbing about 150 m between roughly 1,470 and 1,620 m. The lake is part of the Serra da Estrela hydroelectric system: since 1955 the Covao dos Conchos spillway has diverted water from the Ribeira das Naves into it. The Torre, at 1,993 m the highest point of mainland Portugal, lies in the same range.
