Cerro de São Miguel

Trail description

A climb from the south to the top of the Cerro de Sao Miguel, at 410 m the highest point of the Algarve barrocal, above Moncarapacho. The path rises through carob and almond groves to the summit with its radar dome and antennas, with sweeping views over the coast and the Ria Formosa. On clear days the whole eastern Algarve lies spread out below.
