Trail description
A short marked loop of the Peneda-Gerês National Park from the village of Pitões das Júnias (Montalegre) down to the Cascata de Pitões das Júnias, where the Pitões stream drops in several tiers, the first about 30 m high, into a pool framed by granite outcrops. The path continues to the Mosteiro de Santa Maria das Júnias and returns to the village by a country lane, about 3.5 to 4 km in all.
