Molino de Sabandía

Trail description

Short out-and-back walk from Sabandía to the Molino de Sabandía, a stone water mill in the countryside south-east of Arequipa. Built of white sillar in 1621 and rebuilt in 1785 after an earthquake, it fell out of use early in the 20th century and was restored in the 1970s. The mill still grinds grain with water from the slopes of El Misti, among green terraced fields.
