Trail description
A 1.8 km walk with about 30 m of climbing from La Herradura beach along the foot of the Morro Solar, past Huaca El Túnel and below the Cristo del Pacífico, into Chorrillos. Chorrillos was founded as a deluxe beach resort in 1824 and became a town in 1856; the invading Chilean army destroyed it in 1881 during the War of the Pacific. The Morro Solar headland above is known for the 1881 battle and carries landmarks such as the Monument to the Unknown Soldier.
