Lomas de Lachay

Trail description

A 3.5 km walk in the Lomas de Lachay National Reserve, 105 km north of Lima, climbing about 210 m on the fog-watered hills of the coastal desert. From about late June to October sea fog condenses on the lomas and turns them green with flowers, and the reserve is then at its best for birds and foxes. The reserve is run by SERNANP and has three marked circuits of 1.4, 3 and 5 km.
