Trail description
A 2 km walk with about 110 m of climbing up the Parón valley to the shore of Laguna Parón by the Parón refuge at about 4,180 m. Lake Parón is the largest lake in the Cordillera Blanca, 32 km east of Caraz, originally at 4,185 m and now at 4,155 m. It is ringed by snow peaks including Artesonraju, Pirámide, Chacraraju and Huandoy.
