Trail description

A nearly level 3.4 km walk along the valley road from Chivay to La Calera, where the thermal springs about 3 km from town feed a number of heated pools. Chivay, at about 3,600 m, is the capital of Caylloma province and lies upstream of the Colca Canyon. A stone Inca bridge crosses the Colca river ravine just north of the town.
