Chinchero to Urquillos

Trail description

Inca path from Chinchero, at 3,762 m, down a side valley to the village of Urquillos in the Sacred Valley at about 2,980 m. The route is roughly 8 km and mostly downhill, on old paving and farm tracks. About halfway it passes the Pocpoc waterfall, a drop of nearly 50 m in the woods below Mount Antaquilca. Urquillos is known for the large white maize that grows in its mild climate.
