Trail description
Short, steep climb from the Rímac district by streets and stairs to the 400 m summit of Cerro San Cristóbal, where a large cross overlooks central Lima. After founding Lima in January 1535, Francisco Pizarro had a cross placed on the top of the hill. A site museum and viewpoint have been open on the summit since 1997, with a panorama over the city and the Rímac valley.
