Catarata de Ahuashiyacu

Trail description

Short walk from the Yurimaguas road into the Cordillera Escalera forest to the Ahuashiyacu waterfall, about 14 km from Tarapoto. The lower fall drops about 40 m into a pool some 12 m across, where visitors swim; an upper fall of about 60 m above it has no path. The entrance fee is 6 soles.
