Ausangate Seven Lakes from Pacchanta

Trail description

A 12.7 km loop with about 350 m of climbing from the hot springs of Pacchanta below Ausangate up to the Siete Lagunas, a chain of turquoise, green and dark blue glacial lakes at about 4,600 m, among them Azulcocha, Uturungococha and Minaparayoc. Alpacas graze on the high pastures below the glaciers. The communities charge a small entry fee, and at this altitude go slowly and acclimatise in Cusco first.
