Gygrestolen

Trail description

A popular loop near Bø from the car park by Uvdalstjønna to Gygrestolen, where two huge boulders (the 'chair') sit above a large scree. The path climbs steadily through forest and over bare rock past Svarttjønn to the plateau, and returns east through old natural forest; the summit is about 3.5 km and 365 m above the start. Parts of the path are worn, rocky and rooty, and slippery when wet; Bø Turlag maintains the markings.
