Gunlanuten

Trail description

Gunlanuten (829 m), the highest point of Jøsneset in Hjelmeland, between Jøsenfjorden, Ombofjorden and Erfjord. From Foss a forest road climbs steep hills past Fosstemmen, where there is a lean-to, to Skiftunstølvatnet, then a well-marked path leads above the tree line and over open heath to the top. UT.no gives about 7 km one way and 6 hours return; parking at Foss has room for only a few cars.
