Trail description

A 1.7 km walk of about 100 m of climbing from Frognerseteren, the end station of the Holmenkollen metro line, to the Tryvann tower at 529 m. The 118 m tower was built in 1962 to relay broadcasts across Norway; it has been closed to the public since 2004, and in 2025 it was bought with plans for a restaurant. Frognerseteren is a popular starting point for hiking and skiing in Nordmarka.
