Elgen Harstad

Trail description

Elgen (534 m) on Elgsnes north of Harstad is one of the most popular summit hikes around the town. From the parking area by the chapel at Elgsnes the route follows a tractor road uphill for 500 to 600 m and then a path that climbs gradually along the ridge to the top, about 500 m of ascent and 2 hours return. The summit looks north and is a good place for the midnight sun.
