Brekkeparken Skien

Trail description

A short, almost level 0.8 km town walk in Skien past the Hjellen park and the Henrik Ibsen monument to the edge of Brekkeparken. Brekkeparken is a 3.6 ha park on a hill just above the centre of Skien and is part of the Telemark Museum. It grew up around the medieval Søndre Brekke farm after 1810, was laid out in landscape style in 1815-16, and its rose garden from about 1850 is its best known feature.
