Bragernesåsen

Trail description

A 1.6 km forest climb of about 110 m from the edge of Drammen up into Bragernesåsen, past the Drammen crematorium, to about 127 m close to Spiraltoppen. Bragernesåsen is the forest between Hamborgstrømskogen and the Kloptjern lakes north to Kanonveien; the town bought it in 1838 and planted more than 100,000 trees there from 1859. Spiraltoppen is the viewpoint, restaurant and parking area at the top of Spiralen, a road tunnel that winds six and a half turns up through the hill.
