Bondhusvatnet from Sunndal

Trail description

Easy walk in Folgefonna National Park on Isvegen, a 2.3 km gravel road built in 1863 to haul ice from the Bondhusbrea glacier, from the car park (fee) at Bondhus above Sunndal in Mauranger to the lake Bondhusvatnet. The road follows the river between towering mountains and has a good gravel surface, though several gates must be passed. The lake is a drinking water source, so swimming is not allowed.
