Trail description

Blåisvatnet is an intensely blue glacial lake at 189 m below Lenangsbreen in the Lyngen Alps, coloured by silt in the meltwater. From the signed paid parking Lyngsalpan landskapsvernområde at Sør-Lenangsbotn a path marked with red cairns runs into the valley in fairly easy, flat terrain, with some scree and larger boulders on the last part, about 8 km return, 1.5 hours in and an hour back. Visit Lyngenfjord calls it suitable for the whole family.
