Bandåsen

Trail description

Bandåsen (about 513 m), the highest summit of the Ryfylke islands, on Ombo. From Tjeltveit the route follows the old road to the sheep farm at Helgeland, then climbs steeply past viewpoints and a stone wall built around 1855 to the top, with views from Stavanger to the Ryfylke mountains. UT.no gives about 10 km and 3 to 4 hours return; park at Tuftene quay, not at the Tjeltveit farm.
