Andenes Lighthouse Walk

Trail description

Short walk through the fishing village of Andenes at the northern tip of Andøya to Andenes fyr, the red lighthouse near the harbour. The 40 m cast-iron tower was first lit in 1859 and is one of the tallest in Norway; 148 steps lead to the top. It has been automated and unmanned since 1978 and is a protected monument. Andøy Museum runs visits to the lighthouse.
