Trail description

A 1.8 km walk with only about 25 m of climbing from the village of Å, where the E10 road ends towards the southern end of Lofoten, out to the shore of the lake Ågvatnet. The village name comes from the Old Norse á, meaning a small river, and was spelled Aa until 1917. Until the 1990s Å was mainly a small fishing village specialising in stockfish, and tourism has since taken over. The Lofoten Stockfish Museum and the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum are both in the village.
