Trail description

A short walk from the Kozjak dam down to the water's edge of Lake Kozjak, the largest reservoir in North Macedonia, about 15 km from Skopje. The 126 m high dam holds back the Treska river, and the lake runs 32 km up the gorge between Suva Gora and the Jasen reserve. From the dam the walk follows the quiet access road east for about a kilometre, then turns down a gravel track that zigzags past a viewpoint over the dam to the shore of a small bay. The lake is popular for fishing and hiking, and the water is deep and cold. Return the same way.
