Globocica Lake Struga

Trail description

A short, easy walk on farm tracks along the upper end of Lake Globočica, just below the village of Labuništa. Globočica is a reservoir on the Black Drin about 20 km north-west of Struga, made in 1965 when the river was dammed for a hydropower plant. It is 12 km long and at most 350 m wide, winding in a narrow valley between Jablanica and Karaorman. The water is popular with anglers for carp, pike, catfish and trout. The tracks run through fields between the village and the western shore.
