Crkvishte Peak from Vrteshka Hut

Trail description

Crkvishte (1,700 m) is one of the high summits of Plachkovica, the mountain between Shtip, Radovish and Kochani. The route starts at the Vrteshka mountain hut (1,107 m), reached by asphalt from Karbinci, and climbs through the forested eastern slopes above the Zrnovska Reka valley past the Plachkovica resort and the Turtel transmitter to the summit. It is about 10 km one way; the local guide gives about 500 m of height difference and about 4 hours. The first stretch follows the resort road, the rest is forest track and path.
