Chupino Brdo Peak from Luke

Trail description

Chupino Brdo (1,703 m) is the highest summit of the northern part of Bilino mountain, on the Bulgarian border about 17 km from Kriva Palanka. The route climbs from the village of Luke in the Slavishte area, mostly on tracks, to the summit ridge. It is about 7 km one way with some 700 m of ascent. The area saw two big battles, in 1913 and in 1943, and a monument to Second World War fighters stands on the mountain; the ridge continues for 6.5 km to Anishte.
