Trail description

Carev Vrv (2,084 m), also called Sultan Tepe, is the second-highest peak of Osogovo after Ruen. This route follows the mapped Sasa Mine to Carev Vrv path from the mine above Makedonska Kamenica, through birch and pine woods to the open summit ridge. It is about 7 km one way with some 1,050 m of ascent; the local guide also describes a longer 15 km, 5 hour variant from Sasa over the Osogovo Kitka. The trail is well marked with springs along the way, and from the top the ridge continues to Kalin Kamen, Sokol and Ruen.
