Trail description

A long climb from Ponikva on the Osogovo mountains to Carev Vrv (2084 m), also called Sultan Tepe, the second highest summit of Osogovo. The first part follows the road north to the hamlet of Emirica, then the marked trail rises through beech and spruce forest onto the open ridge. The upper part follows grassy crests with wide views over eastern Macedonia and into Bulgaria.
