Bogovinje Lake from Novo Selo

Trail description

Bogovinje Lake is the largest glacial lake of Shar Planina, set high above the Polog valley in Shar Mountain National Park. The trail from the village of Novo Selo follows the Bogovinje river most of the way, crossing streams and passing a deserted sheep farm, with Titov Vrv visible in the distance. It is about 15 km there and back with some 800 m of ascent, around 3 hours up; the path is unclear in places near the bridge at about 3 km. Park your car at the village entrance, and remember the national park requires registration.
