Trail description

Masaya Volcano's Santiago Crater holds a glowing lava lake visible from the rim. The national park trail leads to a viewpoint overlooking the smoking mouth amidst clouds of sulfurous gas. It is one of the few places in the world where lava can be seen from so close.
