Cerro Negro León

Trail description

Cerro Negro is the youngest volcano in Central America and the home of volcanic sandboarding. The trail climbs up the black ash slope to the edge of the steaming crater, offering views of the Maribios volcanic chain. The descent is made by sliding down the volcanic sand.
