Trail description

An 8.2 km walk descending about 170 m on the Southern Walkway from Lookout Road on Mount Victoria to Island Bay, mostly through Wellington's Town Belt. The Southern Walkway runs almost 11 km from Oriental Bay to Island Bay. Mount Victoria (Matairangi) is a 196 m hill just east of central Wellington, and its summit lookout gives 360 degree views of the city, the harbour, Evans Bay and the Miramar Peninsula.
