Trail description

A 16 km walk with about 620 m of climbing on the Queen Charlotte Track from Meretoto / Ship Cove, its northern end, to Furneaux Lodge in Endeavour Inlet, in the Marlborough Sounds. The 71 km track runs between Queen Charlotte Sound and Kenepuru Sound to Anakiwa, mostly through native bush along the ridgeline between the sounds. It is one of the most popular tramping tracks in New Zealand, and the section from Ship Cove to Kenepuru Saddle is closed to mountain bikes from December to February.
