Trail description
From the car park on Mountain Road east of Taupō the track crosses farmland and climbs steeply through native forest to the summit of Mount Tauhara (1,088 m), an old volcanic dome with views over Lake Taupō to the Tongariro peaks. The upper track is steep and slippery in the wet.
