Trail description

From the ferry wharf at Diamond Harbour, a short boat ride across Lyttelton Harbour, the Mount Herbert Walkway climbs about 900 m through farmland and tussock to Te Ahu Pātiki / Mount Herbert (919 m), the highest point of Banks Peninsula. The views reach over the harbour to Christchurch and the Southern Alps; the open tops are exposed to wind.
