Trail description
From the Lake Wainamu car park on Bethells Road the track follows the Waiti Stream across the giant black sand dunes of Te Henga to Lake Wainamu, a freshwater lake ringed by bush where the dunes slide straight into the water, and returns the same way. Use the boot-cleaning stations to help stop kauri dieback.
